The Fryderyk Chopin Institute presents another opera by Stanisław Moniuszko recorded by Europa Galante and Fabio Biondi FLIS, the second – after Halka – work of the father of the Polish national opera with the international cast that has a chance for the international career.

After the success of Halka in the first recording on historical instruments and in the Italian language version, The Fryderyk Chopin Institute presents another opera by Stanisław Moniuszko, this time: FLIS – in the interpretation of Fabio Biondi and Europa Galante.

The recording was made as part of the programme of the 15th Chopin and His Europe International Music Festival in August 2019.

“Flis” is indeed a charming picture, painted in music, bringing all what causes that the composer is loved in Poland – and also more and more appreciated abroad. With the beautiful melody, which is colourful, expressive, at the same time rich and simple, it refers to the national tradition and culture, the pretty chronicles of which Moniuszko wrote, in the best possible way.
