Here is a long-awaited new version of one of basic publications on Chopin. Together with the PWM Edition we are glad to present the third edition of Mieczysław Tomaszewski’s book Chopin. Człowiek – dzieło – rezonans edited by Kamila Stępień-Kutera. Thanks to the insightful editing work, this book will be given a new life and become available not only for numerous scholars and students, using it when learning the basic issues of Chopin studies, but also for music lovers. It will be an obligatory lecture for them as well.

The book by Professor Tomaszewski is canonic not only in Polish, but also international Chopinology. It is undoubtedly one of the most popular and common publications about Chopin among non-specialists on the subject. It is written in accessible language, with a literary spark. Perhaps it is the most common first choice of all who seek the information about Chopin.
